Course AE100 Intensive Reading Analysis – Writing I
Are you ready to learn Academic English Reading? Then this is the course that will begin your journey into mastering the world language. This 4-week course will get you started on building the essential skills to improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. As you complete sections of the course, you will have synchronous sessions with a certified English Instructor that will provide an engaging session to improve the skills that you have been practicing.
Course Description: This is a level 100 beginning reading course designed for students in the Academic English program. It emphasizes vocabulary and comprehension on a basic level.
Requirement:
Placement in AE100 is determined by assessment tests and/or administrative recommendation.

What You Will Learn:
- Learn and recognize new words and use contextual clues to determine the word meaning.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and understand short, simple texts; understand common sentence connectors and transitional devices; and recognize related sentences when context, background knowledge, or visual information support meaning.
