Maritza Bazemore

Professor Maritza Bazemore has been teaching Spanish as a second language for more than 20 years. She is a native Spanish speaker from Colombia. She works as an educator for the District of Palm Beach County in Florida, where she has been assisting children in adopting Spanish as a second language and improving their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. In addition, culture from Spanish-speaking nations is promoted. She also spent almost five years volunteering to teach Spanish to American citizens at the main Broward County library. Before that, she was employed in the South Carolina school district’s ESOL department, translating and interpreting in addition to helping Spanish-speaking children thrive in the English language and American culture.
