The Program

Introducing our Academic English Program, an innovative pedagogical approach crafted on cutting-edge second language learning research. This immersive program spans six levels, tailored to meet diverse language proficiency needs. Conducted face-to-face, the program offers intensive, full-time instruction totaling 18 hours per week, complemented by essential English lab sessions. The duration of the entire program varies, spanning up to six semesters, contingent upon your initial placement level.

Our intensive curriculum is structured around six proficiency levels, each meticulously designed to foster linguistic growth in authentic contexts. Emphasizing conversational proficiency and strategic language acquisition, our program cultivates fluency and confidence in learners, empowering them to navigate real-world scenarios with ease.

At Elite Language Academy, students receive a Student Achievement Certificate once they complete any level of the Academic English Program. Whether they begin at Level 1 or join at a more advanced level, the certificate is awarded after finishing all courses required for that program. This recognition validates the student’s progress and the academic English skills they have developed.

Methodology and Research

This Academic program is designed based on extensive research into the Cambridge International Corpus, a large database of everyday conversations and texts demonstrating how people speak English. It presents the best features of standard communicative methodologies with stimulating activities carefully crafted to focus on the learning process (Cambridge University Press, 2020).

Elite Language Academy makes sure that each course accomplishes the following pedagogical goals:

Interaction
based

Every lesson has the purpose of getting students to communicate in English. This interactive interaction allows students to incorporate and apply the new language instantly. The application of conversation strategies makes students learn skills needed for effective spoken communication.

Personalizes the Experience oneself

This course component engages activities that motivate students to discuss their own lives and ideas as they speak about their interests and experiences. All topics are suitable for the 21st-century teaching and learning environment on TV, music, the Internet, sports, and celebrities.

   Promotes active and inductive learning

All students complete tasks and assignments that actively involve them in the learning process. Students are challenged to figure out (inductive learning) grammar structure or English usage. Figuring something out for oneself is a powerful aid to understanding, and research demonstrates that activities that have this component result in successful learning.

Key Features

This program follows Cambridge Corpus-informed language extensive research that ensures language needs to be taught in the linguistic codes people use (Cambridge University Press, 2020).

Students receive inductive learning to work out grammatical structures and English usage for themselves. Consequently, they tend to remember what they have been taught (Cambridge University Press, 2020).

This program incorporates valid research into the Cambridge Learner Corpus that highlights typical common learner errors. These observations are presented in “ Common Error “ charts to assist students in avoiding them before target language codes become entrenched (Cambridge University Press, 2020)

Interpersonal strategies in this program provide learners with the language and skills to interact naturally and confidently (Cambridge University Press, 2020).
