Professor Gertz is a triple-certified instructor with a Master’s in Literacy from Dowling College, New York. Professor Gertz is also a reading specialist with an endorsement in ESOL and ESE. She has a background in business and marketing; having owned two high-profile restaurants on Long Island, New York. Professor Gertz has a counseling certificate and focuses her guidance on human relations. She has shown success with the most challenged students in teaching the English language and fundamentals of reading.
