Elizabeth Stewart
Professor Elizabeth Stewart has been teaching ESL, EFL, and ESOL since 1996. She obtained her B.A. in Modern Languages and Art History from McGill University and her M.A. in TESOL/Applied Linguistics from the College of Education at Fairfield University. She has studied, worked, and lived in China, Canada, Italy, and throughout the USA. She is a Certified Cambridge Assessment English Oral Examiner and Trainer for CEFR levels Pre-A1 through C2. In addition to working as an IELTS Speaking & Writing Examiner and Trainer, she has also worked as TOEFL Speaking Assessor and a TOEFL & TOEIC Trainer for many years. Professor Stewart has over 24 years of experience teaching students of all levels & ages, and almost every nationality! Prior to establishing and running the ESOL Program for International Students at American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Florida for five years, she was a faculty member of the Intensive English Institute at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. As a graduate student, Elizabeth enjoyed teaching Italian and French at Fairfield University and Dartmouth College’s Rassias Center (ALPs-Accelerated Language Programs). She speaks Italian fluently, and has studied French and Chinese for many years. Elizabeth’s passions are reading, languages, linguistics, and learning, which is why she is so passionate about teaching:
